The guy gives his all. Other than getting his first goal he is can't be faulted I'd like him to stay longer term

You always need a 20 goal a season striker if you're going to amount to anything.

Gabbiadini is very skillful and much quicker than Zaza although as you say not exactly prolific when it comes to sticking the ball in the net. If we can get goals from several players we don't need a 20 goals a season striker though.

Express today reporting Billic wants to flog on Zaza to Napoli in January (doesn't explain how it works considering he's owned by Juve) in return for us paying £25m for another shit striker from Napoli who can't score goals called Monolo Gabbiadini

He's shit. End of. Contrast how little he moves around compared to Antonio on Wednesday night who didn't stop. If we pay big money for him someone needs shooting.

He'll have to "come good" pretty sharpish. Here's an excerpt from Juventus director Guiseppe Marotta speech to shareholders. "We loaned [Simone] Zaza to West Ham for €5m, the obligation to buy will be triggered at 14 appearances regardless of time on the pitch." He also said Pogba's agent received 24m from the transfer to Man U.

He needs some help up front and if we sit back and try and let them come on to us they will kill us

The problem here is that he has gone backwards from a standing start, ie he's a lot worse than anyone could have ever imagined. Has a very long road ahead if he's gonna turn it around and be the man to lead our line for a few years..,notching tonight will be a start.

Sniper "His style doesn't suit us (he doesn't make intelligent runs, isn't great in the air and lacks strength to hold the ball up) Can't comment on his finishing as he hasn't had one decent chance and that's partly down to service and partly down to his poor movement "
Wouldnt he be better off rebuilding confidence in the reserves?

Re: Zaza will come good

So, the fact he hasn't looked even remotely close to scoring, is purely down to the rest of the team?
He doesn't get into great positions to score goals, that's the main part of the problem. He just doesn't have a striker's instinct unfortunately.

Razzle - I don't think we've had that many great deliveries into the box this season. Part of our problem, I think.

He's simply not good enough like the rest of our strikers. Zaza is a bald useless wop. Only Carroll and Sakho are half decent and there fucking injured all the time. We will struggle all season due to not bringing in some quality up front over the summer. Let's hope Ayew turns it on but I doubt he's the solution as I don't think he will be prolific.

Re: Zaza will come good

we get really good delivery in the box from Payet, Cresswell, Antonio, so having someone in their who can head the ball plays to our strengths by going direct. Ayew when fit gives you another option.
Zaza is too slow and not strong or committed enough for either of those 2 roles.
All i can say is Serie A most be slow and the National team poor for Zaza to be in it and balloon a penalty...

He had two on Saturday. Lanzini played him in on the right side of the penalty area in the first half and he dithered and had his shot blocked. Plus he was put clear in the second half and managed to get caught in about 3 strides before virtually giving the ball to the defender & rolling on the ground to have his tummy tickled. A couple of moments from the Carlton Cole playbook

Just what somebody said about him not winning headers and holding it up should be the west ham united standard of player.
